Position overview

This role exists to support the success of field operations by helping technicians and specialists execute deployments efficiently and professionally. Field Operations Support is not a passive assistant role. It requires reliability, organization, physical readiness, adaptability, and the ability to contribute meaningfully in real-world conditions.

Mission of the role

The mission of this position is to help ensure that field deployments, installations, logistics, and equipment support tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally so that technical teams can execute their work without preventable delays or breakdowns in coordination.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with field deployments, transport, staging, and setup
  • Support technicians and specialists during remote and on-site work
  • Handle equipment movement, loading, unloading, and preparation
  • Help maintain operational order, jobsite readiness, and deployment flow
  • Support documentation, materials handling, and field coordination as needed
  • Represent the company professionally during travel, site work, and customer-facing operations

Minimum requirements

  • Strong reliability, accountability, and professional discipline
  • Ability to work in remote or changing field environments
  • Readiness for physical work, travel, and logistics-heavy operations
  • Ability to follow direction while still contributing initiative and awareness
  • Clear communication and the ability to work as part of a professional team

Preferred background

  • Prior military service is strongly preferred, especially logistics, field support, transportation, communications support, or operational specialties
  • Experience supporting field work, travel operations, technical deployments, or logistics-heavy environments is highly valuable
  • Hands-on experience in construction-adjacent, transport, or remote-support environments may strengthen an application
  • Alaska field or operations experience is highly preferred

Professional experience expectation

Applicants should be able to demonstrate meaningful experience in dependable work environments that required accountability, coordination, and real-world execution. This role does not require the same advanced technical licensing bar as specialized RF or maritime positions, but it does require maturity, work ethic, and operational reliability.

Operational scope of work

This role supports the practical side of field execution across a wide range of company services. Applicants should be prepared to contribute to environments involving:

  • Remote field deployments where equipment, travel, and timing must be coordinated carefully
  • Satellite, RF, maritime, broadcast, and networking-related job support where technical teams need dependable operational backing
  • Equipment staging and transport across changing conditions and site requirements
  • Mission-ready support work where reliability and follow-through matter as much as physical presence
  • Alaska logistics environments where weather, distance, and regional conditions affect execution

Licensing and credentials

  • No single federal technical license is the primary gate for this role in the same way as RF or maritime specialist positions
  • Relevant safety, transportation, equipment handling, or logistics-related credentials may strengthen an application
  • Applicants should disclose any relevant licenses, driving qualifications, field certifications, or operational credentials during the application process
  • Proven dependability and field readiness are heavily weighted for this role

Alaska preference

Alaska residence and meaningful full-time work experience in Alaska are strongly preferred. Applicants with proven Alaska work history generally have a better understanding of regional logistics, travel realities, environmental conditions, and the discipline required to operate effectively across the state.

Out-of-state applicants may still be considered if they can present a strong, credible case for being capable of working in Alaska’s harsh environment on a full-time basis.

Who should not apply

This role is not suited for applicants looking for light-duty work, minimal accountability, or a highly predictable office routine. If you are not comfortable with travel, field conditions, physical support work, changing plans, or being expected to contribute reliably under pressure, this will not be the right fit.

What we are looking for

We are looking for dependable, disciplined people who can support mission-focused work in the field, contribute to smooth deployment operations, adapt to changing conditions, and strengthen the operational backbone of the company through reliability and execution.
